We therefore asked the stylish Anine Bing about her favourite Danish design classics.

Here are her top 5 favourites from our unique collection of original vintage furniture:

1. Vintage 'The Spanish Chair' by Børge Mogensen

“The older, original versions of The Spanish Chair are of exceptional quality, both in the wood and leather. It is definitely a centrepiece in any room and immediately catches your eye,” explains Anine Bing.

Did you know that designer Børge Mogensen was inspired after a family trip to Spain in 1958? The chair is constructed without a single screw, and the materials used are of outstanding quality, making it an iconic piece of Danish design. Our vintage chairs were produced between 1958 and 1980.

2. An early 'The Swan' by Arne Jacobsen

"This patinated Swan chair is both classic and timeless – a piece that adds a natural retro feel. It’s a design I know my children would love to have in their home one day. It’s light, cool and elegant," says Anine Bing.

The Swan was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The project was a true gesamtkunstwerk, where Jacobsen designed both the building and the entire interior down to the smallest detail. The sculptural Egg and Pot Chair were also created for this project. Our Swan chairs are available either in original leather or reupholstered in new leather of your choice.

3. Vintage 'The Artichoke' by Poul Henningsen

The iconic three-seater sofa (model 2209) by Børge Mogensen was designed in 1963 as part of his 2200 series. While many designers sought innovation, Mogensen focused on creating functional, durable furniture for everyday use.
