At KLASSIK, we have worked with the restoration and reupholstery of original Danish furniture classics since 1991. For more than three decades, our workshop has refined and preserved iconic pieces designed by some of Denmark’s greatest designers – including Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Kjærholm. The combination of original frames, strong construction and professional reupholstery means that a classic piece of furniture can last for many years when restored properly.

Quality, expertise and great respect for the originals
Whenever we receive a piece of furniture, we always assess its condition and what it requires. Many original pieces from manufacturers such as Fritz Hansen, Fredericia Furniture and A.P. Stolen were made to a standard rarely seen today – which is why they are particularly well suited to being renewed with new materials. We always work with great respect for the original expression, preserving the design while giving the piece renewed comfort and appearance.

Reupholstery using carefully selected quality materials
Upholstery is at the heart of our work. We offer a wide selection of quality leathers and textiles – including aniline leather, semi-aniline, protected leather, vegetable-tanned leather, classic wool textiles and exclusive sheepskin. All materials are chosen for their durability, comfort and aesthetic appeal, and are naturally suited to design classics such as the Egg, the Swan, the Series 7, BM 2213, BM 2204, BM 2207 and the Teddy Bear Chair.

A restored classic is not only about appearance, but also about proper craftsmanship. We work according to the traditions and methods by which the furniture was originally produced, so that both comfort and expression are recreated with great care.
